Wangaratta has a private and a public hospital, both offering high quality care to residents.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is a leading Victorian health service providing quality health care to more than 90,000 people across North East Victoria. 

NHW has a 24/7 Emergency Department and offers an extensive range of healthcare services ranging from dental services, cancer support services, community care, antenatal clinic and telehealth services. They also provide care to older patients at their Illoura Residential Aged Care facility. 

Wangaratta Private Hospital provides an extensive range of services that are readily accessible for both the local community and as a referral centre.

Speciality surgeries include orthopaedic, joint replacement, obesity, along with general surgery, general medicine, plastics, urology, ear nose and throat, oral/maxillofacial, ophthalmology, gynaecology and endoscopy.

The hospital accommodates both elective admissions and emergency admissions from doctors or other hospitals.
